Almonds are protein-rich and loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Centuries ago, people believed that the body had difficulty metabolizing whole almonds, so they created almond milk to help the body better absorb the almond's nutrients. Almond milk is beneficial for its nutrients, is low in fat and it's lactose free, providing a sufficient alternative for people allergic to cow's milk.
